All tour information provided here, such as jungle trekking to see Sumatran orangutans, elephants, tigers, herping, birdwatching or birding, accommodation, transportation, filmmaking, and visits to various tourist destinations, is operated by SUMECO-owned Bukit Lawang Ecotourism, with some profits and earnings going to SUMECO’s wildlife conservation efforts in Bukit Lawang, which are closely related to protecting the biodiversity of Gunung Leuser National Park.

What is SUMECO?
Established in 2014 in Bukit Lawang, North Sumatra, Indonesia, SUMECO (Sumatra Ecoproject) is committed to running its conservation-based ecotourism business to support its wildlife rescue mission. SUMECO has its conservation-based ecotourism business entity through Bukit Lawang Ecotourism and run personally to cover the needs of tourists. It’s registered officially in Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia (Ministry of Justice and Human Rights), Reg No: AHU-0008001.AH.01.04.Tahun 2019.
